Diagnosis before parts
Relative compression testing on the scan tool and in-cylinder borescope inspection are both part of the work here. That is how a fault gets found rather than guessed at.

CBS Diesel & Auto Repair is a diesel shop on Connor Road. Engines out, heads off, injectors, turbos, transmissions, A/C, wheels and tires — and the diagnostics to work out which of those a truck actually needs.
Why this shop
Cab-off engine jobs, head work and driveline all happen on our own lifts. That is the difference between a shop that repairs diesels and a shop that books them out.
Relative compression testing on the scan tool and in-cylinder borescope inspection are both part of the work here. That is how a fault gets found rather than guessed at.
Cabs come off, engines come out, heads come off — on our own lifts, in our own bays. The big jobs do not get sent somewhere else.
Power Stroke, Cummins and Duramax all come through the same doors. So do gas trucks, vans and the occasional Jeep.
Parts delivery trucks, wreckers, roadside units and service bodies are regulars here. Downtime is the part that actually costs money.
Services
Everything below is work that goes through this shop. Pick the one that matches your symptom, or call and describe it — that is usually faster.
Diagnosis before parts
The tools for this are here and they get used: a relative compression test on the scan tool, and a borescope down the bore when a cylinder reads low. That is how a fault gets found instead of guessed at.

A Garrett turbo with the compressor wheel gone. Nothing about that shows up on a code reader.

An intake manifold packed solid with carbon. No amount of new sensors was going to fix that airflow.

The compressor wheel, in pieces, on the bench. Fitting a replacement turbo without finding where that went is how you buy two.
Inside the shop
Every photograph on this site is CBS Diesel’s own. There is no stock imagery anywhere on it — it is the actual shop, the actual trucks and the actual jobs.

Recent work
A slice of what has been through the bays — Super Dutys, Duramax trucks, duallys and the odd Excursion.

Fleet & commercial
Parts delivery trucks, wreckers, roadside units and Sprinter vans. A truck on our lift is a truck not earning, and we work to that.

What customers say
Connor at CBS Diesel is outstanding. I was incredibly impressed not only with the quality of the work but, more importantly, with Connor’s character and integrity. It’s hard to find someone who’s honest, professional, and genuinely cares about their customers, and that’s exactly the experience I had. They’re also very military-friendly, which meant a lot to me and speaks volumes about the kind of business they run. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CBS Diesel to anyone looking for trustworthy, high-quality service. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future diesel work. Thanks again, Connor!

Diagnostics are a core part of what the shop does — relative compression testing on the scan tool and, where it is warranted, in-cylinder borescope inspection. Raise it when you call and it can be talked through for your truck.
Yes, in house. Cabs come off Super Dutys and engines come out onto stands on our own lifts. The larger jobs are not sent elsewhere.
Yes — we are a wheel and tire dealer as well as a repair shop, including dually fitments. Because the same shop handles your suspension and steering, fitment gets checked properly.
